Lord’s Bank man busted trying to dispose of crack cocaine, receives a fine

Posted: Tuesday, January 4, 2022. 7:07 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: A Lord’s Bank man was fined in court this week after police charged him for possession of an undetermined amount of crack cocaine.

Twenty-four-year-old Hilberto Cho appeared unrepresented in court on Monday, where he immediately pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug.

On January 1, Ladyville police were conducting a routine patrol in the Spanish Town area of Lord’s Bank when they saw Cho acting suspiciously. They approached him and say that’s when he threw away something shiny which was later picked up and found to be a piece of tin foil containing crack cocaine; however the quantity was so small that the scale could not give a reading.

The Magistrate took his guilty plea into consideration and fined him $150, plus the $5.00 cost of court.  He was given until February 22, 2022, to pay in default of payment, six weeks in jail.
