By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Nohoch Che’en and Actun Tunichil Muknal archaeological reserves are closed due to elevated river conditions, said the Belize Tourism Board on Tuesday.
The Nohoch Che’en, popularly known as Caves Branch, is located off the Hummingbird Highway and the Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave, the “Cave of the Stone Sepulcher,” known as the ATM Cave, is situated off the George Price Highway at Teakettle.
The BTB said that all other archaeological reserves are open.
At the same time, the BTB calls on all visitors to “continue to exercise caution at all times and adhere to all covid 19 regulations”.
