Hospitalizations for COVID-19 rise slightly overnight

By Aaron Humes: 11 persons have been hospitalized for COVID-19, up two from Tuesday, and three of these are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), up one from Tuesday.

Five of the nine hospitalized persons are unvaccinated; one partially vaccinated and four fully vaccinated and the eleventh is of uncertain status. Of those in the ICU, one is unvaccinated, one is partially vaccinated and the other fully vaccinated.

Belizeans are reminded to get their vaccinations and booster shots to ward off the effects of the disease, which attacks the immune and respiratory system in particular.
