By Aaron Humes: Reliable and credible reports say Dr. Lesbia Guerra will not take over as chief executive officer of the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
According to Channel 7 News, Dr. Guerra met with the transition team before Christmas but decided not to take up the job.
Predecessor, Dr. Deysi Mendez moved on to the National Health Insurance office based at the Social Security Board, in what has been suggested to not only be a better fit in terms of experience.
The lack of a CEO in a very important Ministry does not auger well during a time of great uncertainty regarding COVID-19 and other challenges in the national health system.
