By Rubén Morales Iglesias: 200,000 people in Belize are now ‘fully vaccinated’ though vaccinations are still increasing slowly.

According to the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ January 4, 2022, COVID-19 Vaccination Daily Report, the total number of “fully vaccinated” now stands at 200,081. The 155 persons who got their second vaccine between January 3 and January 4 pushed the number over the 200,000 threshold from the previous day’s total of 199,926.

The total number of people who have at least one vaccine is now 211,089, 88 more than on January 3.

Meanwhile, 29,682 have been vaccinated in the 12-17-year-olds bracket, 38 more than Monday.

In the 18 Years and Older category, 243 persons were vaccinated from January 3 to January 4.

No figures are forthcoming yet from the MOHW regarding the total number of people who have received a booster.
