Belize, Cayo, Northern Districts take brunt of new case load

By Aaron Humes: Belize City continues to lead the daily COVID-19 table by leaps and bounds.

214 new cases were reported today out of 268 in mainland Belize District. There were an an additional 15 in Ladyville but nowhere else in the district reported more than five.

Out west, Belmopan added 29 new cases, San Ignacio 26, Santa Elena 13, Benque Viejo 12 and San Jose Succotz 10. Overall the Cayo District added 122 new cases.

Orange Walk District added 71 new cases with 39 in Orange Walk Town and 12 in San Felipe village while Corozal added 40, 13 in Corozal Town.

The south was marginally spared with Dangriga adding 18 new cases of 37 in the Stann Creek District and Punta Gorda Town having eight of nine new cases in the Toledo District, the other being in San Antonio
