Call center agent pleads guilty to smoking weed in public

By BBN Staff: A Belize City man of an Ebony Street address, Kendis Williams, 24, was fined $75 in Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Thursday after pleading guilty to smoking cannabis in a public area.

Williams, a call center agent, appeared unrepresented in court before Magistrate Khiana Gordon.

Police say a mobile patrol on Newton Barracks on Monday, January 3, when they spotted Williams smoking suspected cannabis.

He was picked up and escorted to the police station where he was charged.

Williams was fined $75 plus $5 cost of court which must be paid by January 28.
