By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Minister of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation Andre Perez and CEO Kennedy Carrillo visited the Philip Goldson International Airport (PGIA) on Wednesday to see first-hand the experience visitors have on arrival with the objective of making arrivals more pleasant.
“In particular Minister Perez and his team focused on the time required for processing of passengers based on COVID arrival and departure requirements, the addition of new flights and airlines as well as the waiting lines at customs and immigration,” said the Civil Aviation Ministry on social media.
The Ministry said that based on its findings at the country’s only international airport it will proceed “to define clear strategies with all service providers at the PGIA to ameliorate the stress created by delays allowing for a smoother and more pleasant arrival for visitors coming to Belize and Belizeans coming home”.
