Man to be charged for possession of weapons without license

By Aaron Humes: A man living at Tobacco Caye, Stann Creek District is expected to be charged with possession of firearms and ammunition without a license.

As he has not yet been charged, we will not call his name, but the items were discovered during a search by Police and Coast Guard at Tobacco Caye on Thursday.

Police recovered a black AR15 firearm; twenty-three 5.56 X .45 rounds of ammunition, and a magazine.

The accused’s gun license application has not been approved according to police and so he was detained pending charges.
