UDP leader Patrick Faber visits Toledo East

By Aaron Humes: Leader of the Opposition United Democratic Party Patrick Faber was in Toledo East yesterday as part of his countrywide tour of constituencies, the party reports.

In a social media statement, it said the tour was intended “to inspire and reignite the party’s base towards rebuilding the UDP political machinery constituency by constituency.”

Faber met with members of the constituency committee and key organizers and got their support “to fully participate in the rebuilding, reorganization and reinvigoration of the party in [the] area,” the party says.

Toledo East covers Punta Gorda Town and most of the northern and Eastern Toledo District up to roughly the junction of the San Antonio Road and Southern Highway. It was last represented by the UDP under Peter Eden Martinez.
