Belize Weather: Showery activity to pick up at start of week

By BBN Staff: Weather conditions are to become moist tonight and tomorrow.

The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies today with cloudy spells and cloudy skies at times tonight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will appear over the south and inland areas in the daytime and affect mostly the coast tonight.

High temperatures today are 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 88 degrees inland, and 74 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 74 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 70 degrees inland, and 64 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the northeast at 5 to 15 knots and sea state is light chop.

Tides will be low this morning at 10:14 and this evening at 11:46 and high at 4:22 this evening. The sun sets at 5:35 this evening and rises at 6:25 Tuesday morning.

The extended forecast calls for cloudy skies on Tuesday with a few showers and light rain, especially over the coast.
