COVID-19 regular and ICU patients decreased over weekend

Posted: Monday, January 10, 2022. 6:44 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: After steadily rising toward the end of last week, there was a slight drop both in the number of total hospitalizations and ICU patients with COVID-19 over the weekend.

15 persons are hospitalized with COVID-19, a decrease of two from Friday, while four persons are in intensive care, also down two from Friday’s report.

There has been an increase in the number of fully vaccinated persons in the ICU. Four hospitalized patients are unvaccinated, two are partially vaccinated and seven are fully vaccinated with two others of uncertain status.

All four of the current ICU patients are fully vaccinated, which theoretically helps their chances to survive the disease.
