Belize Weather: More showers than sunshine

The forecast from the National Meteorological Service calls for sunny skies with cloudy spells today and cloudy skies at times tonight. Some showers and isolated thunderstorms will appear mainly offshore and in some coastal areas this morning, spreading inland this afternoon, then back offshore and along parts of the coast tonight.

Most of the country will see highs of 80 degrees Fahrenheit, while the hills will be 10 degrees cooler at 70. Low temperatures tonight are 70 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 65 degrees inland and 60 in the hills.

Winds are from the north to northeast at 5 to 15 knots and sea state is light chop.

Tides will be low at 11:02 this morning and high at 5:12 this evening. Sunset is at 5:35 this evening and sunrise on Wednesday is at 6:25.

Wednesday brings mostly cloudy skies with some showers and periods of rain across Belize and especially offshore and in Southern and coastal areas.
