FFB appoints Martin Vasquez as acting Competitions Director

The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) appointed Martin Vasquez as acting Competitions Director just as it is about to start its National Elite Championships.

“Let us take this opportunity to officially welcome Mr. Martin to our team in his new capacity as acting Competitions Director,” said the FFB on social media.

Vasquez also took to social media saying “I’m honored and privileged for the opportunity”.

The FFB said “Vasquez comes with a wealth of experience in football and has served as the Corozal Football Association’s Administrative Officer since 2018 and General Secretary for the association since 2021.

Vasquez, who is a co-founder of the Football Academy of Corozal, has attended several FIFA, Concacaf, and FFB training sessions, said the FFB.

He holds a Concacaf “D” Coaching License and recently completed the PANAM High Performance Coaching Certificate 1.

Vasquez replaces Rafael Avila who the FFB thanked “for his contribution at the federation and wishes him the best in all his future endeavors.
