Belize Weather: Uptick in showery activity expected

The National Meteorological Service forecasts mostly cloudy skies today with sunny breaks and partly cloudy to cloudy skies tonight. A few showers and periods of rain will develop first along coastal areas this morning, spreading inland this afternoon and then back along the coast tonight.

High temperatures are 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 84 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 70 degrees along the coast, 64 degrees inland and 60 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the northwest at 5 to 15 knots and sea state is light chop.

Tides will be high at 7:06 this morning and 6:02 this evening and low at 11:51 this morning. The sun sets at 5:36 this evening and rises at 6:25 Thursday morning.

Thursday sees cloudy spells and a few morning coastal showers decreasing to isolated activity.
