Belize Coast Guard finds over 30 kilos of marijuana

By BBN Staff: Today, the Belize Coast Guard (BCG) made a discovery of over 30 kilograms of marijuana.

Officers of the BCG on a routine patrol around 8:30 a.m. found the drugs about 100 feet east of the dock at Half-moon Caye.

The officers found a sack floating in the water and when they collected it found that it contained 36 packs of marijuana, weighing in at 30.95 kilograms.

No one was in the area at the time and the officers handed the drugs over to the Belize Police Department
