Belize passes 7 thousand active COVID-19 cases

By Aaron Humes: 940 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours, pushing Belize’s active case load to 7,105.

With nearly 40,000 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic, nearly 10 percent of Belizeans tested were positive for Covid-19. 400,577 total persons have been tested, though some of those are more than once.

379 persons have recovered and 559 samples remain under investigation.

No new deaths were reported, keeping the total at 607 to date and five for this month.
