Ministry of Health & Wellness receives protective equipment for healthcare workers from Belizeans in the United States

The Ministry of Health & Wellness on Wednesday received a donation of protective equipment for healthcare workers from Belize in the United States.

“The Ministry of Health & Wellness today received a donation of various types of personal protective equipment for our healthcare workers through our friends in the United States diaspora,” said the MOHW on social media.

The MOHW said Dr. Melissa Diaz, Acting Regional Health Manager for the Central Health Region, received the donation which was sent through Anthony Mahler, Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations.

According to the MOHW, the donation included various types of personal protective equipment, toiletries, and blankets.

“We extend appreciation for the donation and support from all our partners,” said the Ministry of Health.
