One held for overnight murder of welder and shooting of minor in Belize City

By Aaron Humes: Police have detained one person pending an investigation into the murder of welder Dorian Tzac, 25, of Belize City.

According to police, Tzac and a minor were inside a room in the lower flat of a two-storey building on Antelope Street, Belize City around 8 p.m. Thursday when a single armed man entered and opened fire on them.

Tzac was shot multiple times to the body and was rushed to hospital where he died, while the minor is hospitalized in critical condition.

Police investigation continues.
