By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Prime Minister John Briceño said he met, in his capacity as Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), with the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) Chief Executive Officer Rodinald Soomer.
Soomer visited Belize to sign an agreement with DFC said the Prime Minister.
Soomer also met “with private sector banks to identify areas for technical assistance in credit risk with a view to build institutional capacity to mobilize idle resources.”
According to Prime Minister Briceño, the CDF, which is central to addressing the disparities among the CARICOM countries, “provides assistance to disadvantaged countries in the Community”.
