By Aaron Humes: As of Tuesday morning at midnight, diesel fuel goes up by 44 cents to $10.89 from $10.44, the Government has announced.
The prices for other fuel products remain the same, as Christmas-time decreases are wiped out in this first half of January.
The Government repeats that the price change “reflects the current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies.”
It adds that it is “monitoring the price movements and supply conditions closely and will work with the fuel industry to safeguard the pump prices paid by Belizean consumers.”
