By BBN Staff: A Ladyville woman is out on bail after allegedly pulling a kitchen knife on her coworker in a threatening manner.
Twenty-one-year-old Jahnell Andrews, a cook at a Ladyville restaurant, appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s court where she answered to a single charge of aggravated assault upon 42-year-old Karim Bowman, the cashier at the restaurant.
Bowman told police that on Sunday, January 15, he went into the kitchen of the restaurant and Andrews suddenly pulled a black handle kitchen knife at him and uttered the words “Don’t play with me.”
He says he ran out of the kitchen and was fearful for his life, so he reported the matter to the police.
There was no objection to bail and it was granted to her in the sum of $1,500. Andrews is scheduled to return to court on March 1.
