Number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients rises sharply

By Aaron Humes: 24 persons are now hospitalized with COVID-19, up seven from Tuesday’s figure.

Among these, five persons are in critical care, up four from Tuesday.

Grouped by vaccination status, seven patients are unvaccinated, three are partially vaccinated, 13 are fully vaccinated and one is of unknown status.

Meanwhile, two ICU patients are unvaccinated, one partially vaccinated and two fully vaccinated.

The latter are believed to stand a greater chance of beating the virus.
