Over 1,000 new cases of COVID-19 reported; 540 new recoveries

By Aaron Humes: For a second straight day, more than 1 thousand new cases of COVID-19 were reported – 1,030 as opposed to 540 new recoveries.

Another 496 samples are under investigation.

The daily positivity rate remains near 30 percent of all persons tested and the overall positivity rate is 10.6 percent or 44,145 confirmed cases from 415,727 total persons tested. Of these, 34,468 persons or 78.1 percent have recovered.

No new deaths were reported leaving that figure at 611.
