Toll of new cases down slightly in Cayo and Belize Districts

By Aaron Humes: The Cayo District reported 267 new cases of COVID-19 to lead the daily table, closely followed by the mainland Belize District with 264.

These figures are down from the record highs seen on Tuesday.

Orange Walk District reported 181 cases, Corozal 105, Stann Creek 97, San Pedro Town 59, and Toledo District 57.

By municipality, Belize City recorded 169 new cases, Orange Walk Town 88, San Ignacio Town 70 and Santa Elena Town 25, Corozal Town 46, Dangriga 35, Punta Gorda 25 and Benque Viejo 18.

The mainland Belize District is approaching 15,000 confirmed cases with Cayo passing 9 thousand, Orange Walk near 6 thousand, Stann Creek at 5,489, Corozal 3,507; Toledo 2,980, and San Pedro 2,355.
