BREAKING: Police seeking Patrick Faber after assault, damage to property complaint

Posted: Thursday, January 20, 2022. 3:33 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: Leader of the Opposition Patrick Faber is being sought by Police for arrest on a charge of common assault and damage to property.

Commissioner of Police Chester Williams confirmed that Dr. Shanika Arnold, his fiancee, has made a report alleging damage to her laptop and assault as she tried to leave their premises in Lords’ Bank, Belize District. He allegedly hit her on her hands with a hammer and her vehicle tires were allegedly slashed; she used his personal vehicle to make a report to Police.

Police are searching for Faber as of this morning; the Commissioner said Faber has spoken to attorney Richard “Dickie” Bradley and arrangements had been made to bring him in, but so far Police have not located him, nor has he been brought in as of this hour.

There was an “unofficial report” of an incident on Monday in which she declined further action, as well as the official report in which she now requests action.

Any decision to withdraw or discontinue the action would take place in Court, the Commissioner said.
