Police make raid on Ambergris Caye; big haul taken

By Aaron Humes: Commissioner of Police Chester Williams announced a proactive crime crackdown on targeted areas of the country led by Commander Operations, Assistant Commissioner of Police Alford Grinage.

It began on Wednesday in San Pedro Town, the Commissioner told reporters today: “Commander Operations, Mister Grinage, is leading a number of officers into different parts of the country to launch operations in a proactive manner, going after those persons who we believe are usually involved in the commission of crime and the sale of drugs.”

The operation netted over 500 grams of cannabis, 53 grams of cocaine, 116 rounds of ammunition, and a nine-millimeter pistol.

The operation will be repeated across the country.
