Reduction reported in new COVID-19 cases

By Aaron Humes: After three straight days with more than 1,000 new cases of COVID-19 reported daily, today’s figures are a modest reduction to 814.

595 recoveries have been reported but the total number of active cases is 9,245, with 472 samples under investigation.

One new death has been reported and the daily positivity rate slipped to just over 27 percent.

Cumulatively, Belize has reported 44,959 total cases of which 78 percent have recovered.
