The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) broke ground for the construction of the Placencia Polyclinic on Friday.
“When it comes to the health of our people, and the wellness of our communities, there is no time to waste,” said the MOHW in a social media post.
“Today Minister of Health and Wellness Kevin Bernard, along with Minister of Tourism and the Diaspora Anthony Mahler, Area Representative Rodwell Ferguson and representatives of the Placencia Village Council, broke ground for a new, state of the art Polyclinic in Placencia.”
According to the MOHW, the Placencia Polyclinic will include consultation rooms, reception and registration areas, waiting rooms, an asthma bay, pharmacy, two triage rooms, laboratory, and shock/trauma rooms.
