By Aaron Humes: Orange Walk resident Augustine Riverol, 29, says he was shot following an altercation on Friday night, according to police.

Riverol told police that around a quarter past ten he was walking on the Old Northern Road in Santa Martha when a man approached and they got into a misunderstanding.

After an argument, the man shot him in his left leg. He was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital in Orange Walk Town where he is listed in stable condition.
