Will Patrick Faber be announcing his resignation as Leader of the UDP tomorrow?

By Benjamin Flowers: Following a long week of public disgrace over allegations of domestic abuse, Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the United Democratic Party Patrick Faber is calling a press conference to discuss the issue.

The conference is set for Monday, January 24 at the UDP Headquarters on Youth For the Future Drive, Belize City.

His invitation to the media states the purpose of the conference is to “discuss the next steps for the United Democratic Party.”

Following an initial report made to police against him by his fiancé Dr. Shanika Arnold last Tuesday, she retracted the complaint and on Friday took the stand in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court to confirm that she wants no further action against him. With that, Faber was free to leave.
