By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) said in its COVID-19 Vaccination Daily Report for Monday, January 24, 2021, that a total of 212,480 355 persons have received the first dose of multiple-dose vaccines. That’s 125 more than Friday.
Additionally, according to the PAHO update of January 21, 2022, 19,797 had received a single dose vaccine (Janssen). That puts the total who have received at least one dose at 232,277.
Out of that number, 202, 878 are now fully vaccinated; 363 more when compared to Friday’s report.
The number of persons 12-17 years of age who are fully vaccinated is now at 24,844 persons, 53 more than Friday.
In the 18-Years-and-older category, 362 persons got vaccinated from Friday to Monday.
The MOHW said that so far 28,628 persons have received a booster shot. That number increased by 1,022 over Friday’s report.
Meanwhile, the MOHW keeps encouraging everyone to get vaccinated and advising Belizeans who are already vaccinated to get a booster.
