By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Men’s National Football Team (BMNT) arrived in El Salvador on Wednesday evening and are now travelling by road to Nicaragua.
According to Technical Director Philip Marin, they left San Salvador on Thursday morning and crossed the border into Honduras just before 9:00 am. The team is expected to arrive in Managua this evening after crossing the Honduras-Nicaragua border.
The BMNT is to play two football friendlies against the Nicaraguan National Team at 7:00 pm on Saturday, January 29, and Tuesday, February 1 at the Estadio Nacional in Managua.
The BMNT left Belmopan on Wednesday before 8:00 am, made their way to Santa Elena, Peten, Guatemala, where they boarded a flight to Guatemala City in two groups leaving and arriving at different times. The BMNT then travelled in two separate flights to San Salvador, El Salvador, where they overnighted.
