Police trying to identify John Doe found dead on Holy Emmanuel Street

By BBN Staff: Police are trying to identify the body of a Hispanic male that was found in the Holy Emmanuel extension area early this morning.

Acting on a report, officers made their way to the area around 6:05 this morning where they found the body lying faceup on a pallet. The body had apparent gunshot wounds.

A concerned citizen in the area found the victim and called the police. The victim was wearing beige short pants with a red cloth belt. Initial investigations revealed that gunshots were heard in the area between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.; however, police were not informed at that time.

Currently, the body is listed as John Doe.

An investigation is now underway.
