By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize paid the price for the long two-day trip and were routed by Nicaragua 4-0 at the Estadio Nacional in Managua in the first of two friendly matches on Saturday night.
Byron Bonilla opened the score nailing Woodrow West in the 20th minute.
Juan Barrera scored the second goal in the 28th minute.
Mattias Belli nailed in the 3rd in the 49th and Bradon Ayerdis closed the deal in the 86th.
For now, it’s back to the drawing board for the Belize Men’s National Team (BMNT) to regroup for the second friendly game against Nicaragua on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm.
