By Aaron Humes: Even without results from PCR testing as noted by the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Belize appears to be on the downward side of the latest wave of COVID-19.

Over the weekend, 798 new cases were reported compared to 1,565 recoveries, sending the number of active cases plunging to 8,359 with 549 samples under investigation.

Four more deaths were reported as well as 20 hospitalizations and six persons in intensive care.

Overall Belize has now passed 51 thousand total cases, but the national recovery rate is back above 82 percent.
