Kaya Cattouse beats all the men, wins Weekends Warriors 50-mile race

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Kaya Cattouse beat all the men and won the Weekends Warriors 50-mile race on Sunday.

The race started at the Maskall Junction on the Philip Goldson Highway, went to the Altun Ha junction on the Maskall Road (Old Northern Highway), turned around to the Philip Goldson Highway on to the Boom to Hattieville Road, took left to the George Price Highway, and finished at Old Belize.

Kaya clocked 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 49 seconds (2:15:49). Alvan Gillett was second at the same time. Third place was claimed by Christopher Andrews in 2:15:51.

Daniel Cano took fourth in 2:15:53.

Gilroy Lewis was fifth, Troy Gabb Jr. sixth, Warren Coye 7th, Vallan Symns 8th, and George Abraham Jr. 9th.

Gillett won the first and second sprints by Eagle Gem and Colby. Christopher Andrews won the third by the George Residence.
