Minister of Health confirms border set to open February 7; only those fully vaccinated can travel

By Benjamin Flowers: Minister of Health and Wellness Kevin Bernard confirmed that the country’s land borders will reopen next week.

Bernard issued an update today, saying that, following comprehensive discussions in Cabinet, borders will reopen as of Monday, February 7 from 6:00 am – 10:00 pm daily.

“Only persons who are fully vaccinated will be able to travel across the borders,” Bernard said.

The Ministry had set several dates for the reopening of the borders before, however, each date was met with either a spike of COVID-19 cases nationally or in the region.

Bernard’s update said that the Ministry will be releasing further details on the reopening later today.
