By Aaron Humes: Further encouraging signs that Belize is on the downslope of the fourth wave of COVID-19 came in this evening’s daily report from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
Total active cases of COVID-19 now number 7,944 with 311 samples under investigation, after reaching as high as 9,500-plus last week.
While 771 new cases were added today, there were 919 recoveries for a net loss of 139.
No new deaths were reported while hospitalizations and patients in intensive care remained mostly the same.
Belize has now had 52,775 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with more than 83 percent of the population who caught it recovered.
