Belize Men’s National Football Team is on its way back to Belize after Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw against Nicaragua

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Men’s National Football Team (BMNT) left Managua at 3:30 am on Wednesday on its way back to Belize after Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw against Nicaragua.

The team travelled to Nicaragua last week. They lost the first game 4-0 against Nicaragua on Saturday but had a much better performance on Tuesday night.

Just before 7:00 am today, they were at the Nicaragua-Honduras border. From there the BMNT was headed to the Honduras-El Salvador border.

BMNT having lunch at Parque de Barrio Provincia at La Union in El Salvador before heading to San Salvador.

From that border, they will then travel to San Salvador where they will spend the night. On Wednesday morning the team will take a flight to Guatemala City. There they’ll board another plane to Santa Elena, Peten.

Once they get to Santa Elena they’ll travel by road to Belize.

The BMNT will arrive here tomorrow evening.

The two games against Nicaragua were in preparation for the CONCACAF Nations League in June.
