BSI/ASR continues negotiations with Sugar Cane Farmers on commercial agreement

By Aaron Humes: Negotiations continue apace between Belize Sugar Industries Limited/American Sugar Refining (BSI/ASR) and the Belize Sugar Cane Farmers Association (BSCFA).

Director of Finance for BSI Shawn Chavarria shared today there was recently a productive meeting between the two sides over proposals for the new commercial agreement.

Those meetings continue as BSI/ASR hopes to get a deal signed by the deadline under the interim agreement made in January. More on this later.
