Cayo, Orange Walk surge ahead of Belize District in daily COVID-19 table

By Aaron Humes: All six districts reported less than 200 new cases of COVID-19 each, but not by much.

The Cayo District led with 188 cases including 66 in San Ignacio/Santa Elena; 46 in Belmopan (including San Martin, Salvapan, and Maya Mopan), and 16 in Benque Viejo, 15 in Camalote, and 10 in Roaring Creek.

Second was Orange Walk with 156 cases, led by Orange Walk Town with 88.

Belize City added 113 of 138 new cases across mainland Belize District, its lowest total in days, and San Pedro 34, but no other reporting area recorded more than Ladyville’s six new cases.

The Corozal District added 103 cases including 39 in Corozal Town; Stann Creek 88 including 20 in Dangriga, 17 in Independence and 11 in Pomona, while Toledo had 70 including 27 in Punta Gorda and 12 in Bella Vista.
