Orange Walk Football Association to launch football academy

The Orange Walk Football Association (OWFA) is launching its football academy for children.

“It’s time to get back on the field, and the New Orange Walk Football Association is more than excited to launch its Football Academy,” said the OWFA’s Administrator Ben Ramos.

The Orange Walk Football Academy is becoming a reality after months of preparation, said the OWFA on social media.

“The objective is to have kids involved with the game early, get them to love the game, have fun with it, and train them the proper way with certified coaches,” Ramos said.

According to Ramos, the different regions under the Football Federation of Belize are launching their own academies.

“Cayo started last week. This week it’s Toledo. Corozal already has one. Orange Walk is starting its own on February 20,” said Ramos.

The OWFA Football Academy course will last 12 weeks. The Academy will cater to three categories: U6, U8 and U10.

“If you have your son or daughter who loves football and want them to be trained by certified coaches, register them now as you can pick up registration forms at our office located at People’s Stadium,” said the OWFA.

The course will be conducted on Sundays at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk Town.

Registration closes on Friday, February 4.
