Cayo police seize shotgun and weed

By BBN Staff: Operations conducted by police officers attached to the Belmopan and Roaring Creek formations in the Cayo district have led to the discovery of an unlicensed weapon and some drugs.

The joint operation, conducted between the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 12 noon, led officers to a 12 gauge shotgun and two live rounds of ammunition.

Officers also found 140 grams of marijuana, both of which were found in Roaring Creek.

No one was in the area and as a result, the firearm, ammunition, and cannabis were sealed, labeled, and deposited as found property.
