Elderly man in Corozal tied up and chopped to death

By BBN Staff: An elderly man from Xaibe Village, Corozal District, was brutally chopped to death today.

Police say that officers responded to a call and went to the home of 67-year-old Fermin Rivera, where they found his lifeless body with several apparent chop wounds.

Initial investigations say that sometime around 5:00 a.m. he was attacked, tied up, and chopped several times.

Police are investigating.
