Brazen robbers target Wellworth in daylight downtown robbery

By BBN Staff: The popular store on Regent Street Belize City, Wellworth, was targeted in a daylight robbery yesterday.

Reports are that two men on bicycles coming from the direction of the Belize Magistrate’s Court rode up to the store and one of them pointed a gun at the cashier.

The second man went behind the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before they both ran off through Battlefield Park, leaving their bicycles behind.

Police are investigating.
