Man spends his 31st birthday in court for 13 grams of weed, claims police conspiracy and harassment

By BBN Staff: Ronald Bradley, 31, was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today, on his 31st birthday, for a drug possession charge.

Bradley appeared unrepresented to answer to a charge of kept control drugs in relation to 13.9 grams of marijuana, 3.9 grams over the legal limit, found in his Mahogany Heights home during a police search on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was offered bail in the sum of $500. His next court date is set for April 4, 2022.

Bradley and his commonlaw wife Dana Belgrave say that the charge was maliciously concocted by officers, who combined the marijuana for her personal use and the marijuana for his personal use so the amount would be above the 10-gram limit so he could be charged.
