Lord’s Bank resident stabbed and killed; one man detained

By Aaron Humes: A man from Lords’ Bank in the Belize District has died following a stabbing attack on Friday night.

According to Police, Evan Mitchell who was on his way to a neighborhood shop was approached by a village resident identified as Jerome Swift. They exchanged words and began to fight.

According to the eyewitnesses, Swift picked up an unknown, likely sharp, object and stabbed at Mitchell’s head on the left side, sending him to the ground before fleeing the scene.

Swift has been detained as police investigations continue.
