Altitude beats Garden City 2-0 in FFB Top League opener

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Altitude defeated Garden City 2-0 in the first game with fans in the stadium in two years.

The match was the opener in the closing championship of the FFB Top League and was held at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence

Rene Leslie scored in the 5th minute and Colombian Andrés Orozco put the game away in the 78th for the home side.

The Top League continues on Sunday, February 6, at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan with a doubleheader. The San Pedro Pirates face Belize City’s Caesar Ridge in the first game at 4:00 pm. The nightcap will feature defending champions Verdes and Wagiya at 6:30 pm.

Games will be played at different stadiums around the country for this championship as opposed to the Opening which was played exclusively at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan.
