501 Valvoline’s Brandon Cattouse wins Masters Category in 83-mile race on Hummingbird Highway

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: For a second week in a row, 501 Valvoline’s Brandon Cattouse won the Masters Category in the Cycling Federation of Belize’s (CFB) preparation race for the Digi Valentine’s Tour which comes up on February 19 and 20.

This time around, the Krem’s New Year’s Day Cycling Classic winner, topped the Masters in the 83-mile race on Hummingbird Highway on Sunday, February 6.

Cattouse clocked three hours, 50 minutes, and 21 seconds (3:50:21). Cattouse was 17th overall in the race won by his teammate and U-23 rider Derrick Chavarria, who was timed at 3:38:47.

Dwayne Wade of Team Cycology took second in 4:05:54 in the Masters, while G-Flow’s Gregory ‘Bullet’ Lovell finished in third in 4:11:36.

M&M Engineering took the next two sports with Allan Auil timed at 4:19:48 in fourth and Roque Matus at 4:27:00 in fifth.
